Tom’s Composite Bonding in Elsternwick

We would like to share with you a case of an emergency dental treatment we had months ago. Tom, a student from Elsternwick, was brought to the clinic by his mom. He fell at school which caused his two front teeth to chipped off.

Tom’s mom has heard so many good things about our practice, and so she decided to bring him to our clinic on the same day the accident happened. As a growing boy, his mom doesn’t want Tom to be bullied in school for his teeth. And that aesthetic is of importance for her.

We decided to do Composite Aesthetic Bonding instead of simple tooth filling, which was done in 2 dental visits. We could have done it the same day, but the outcome won’t be as natural as composite bonding. In composite bonding, a mould was taken at the first appointment so we could wax-up the teeth. The wax-up will provide a foundation so our dentist can layer the tooth appropriately at the next appointment to achieve the best aesthetic outcome.

After over two visits at the clinic for over seven days, we were able to recreate the broken teeth, and anyone can hardly notice it.

Tom and his mom were so happy with the outcome. He couldn’t even stop smiling with his newly restored teeth. He felt like nothing has happened with his teeth.
