Types of Dental Implants

Single Dental Implants

Single Dental Implants

If you’re missing one tooth, a single tooth implant can be inserted in place of your natural tooth root. This is an ideal tooth replacement option if you want to keep the stability of your remaining natural teeth.

Unlike traditional bridges, a single implant preserves the integrity of the surrounding teeth while providing a natural-looking tooth replacement option.

Implant Bridge

Implant Bridge

If you have multiple missing teeth, a fixed implant bridge is the perfect solution. Unlike dentures, implant bridges are fixed to your jaw for a more convenient, aesthetic solution that enhances your quality of life while keeping your teeth healthy.

Full Mouth Fixed Implants

Full Mouth Fixed Implant Solutions

If most of your teeth are missing or damaged, you can replace a full set of teeth with full mouth implant solutions such as All on 4 Plus. With this option, you’ll never have to worry about dentures falling out or not being able to bite into an apple ever again! Even better, we have solutions such as general anaesthetic so you can wake up and go home with fixed teeth on the same day.

Full Mouth Removable Implants

Full Mouth Removable Implant Solutions

If you don’t have the budget for All on 4, you could consider implant overdentures. This full mouth removal implant solution allows you to chew all the foods you love, but need to be taken out of your mouth to be cleaned thoroughly.

Benefits of dental implants

Maximum Function

Having a dental implant is like having permanent teeth. You will have full function when it comes to biting and chewing, plus you won’t get the sensitivity to cold that you would usually get with your own teeth!

Cost Effective

Dental implants can last for several years, or even a lifetime, when taken care of properly. This makes them more cost effective than other tooth replacement options, helping you save money in the long run.

Less Invasive

Placing a titanium dental implant into your jawbone might sound scary, but it’s not. The procedure is done seamlessly by one of our dental implant experts and the procedure often takes less time than a large filling. Compared to other options like a dental bridge, implants preserve bone and tissue while avoiding potential damage to surrounding teeth.

Great Aesthetics

Dental Implants can be matched perfectly to your natural teeth so no one can tell the difference. It looks and feels like a natural tooth, the ultimate replacement for a single missing tooth.

The Dental Implant Process from start to finish

Initial Exam & Taking of Digital Records

To start your implant journey, we will take a full set of photos of your teeth and face and some xrays including a 3D CBCT scan. We will also conduct a thorough intra-oral examination to assess your overall oral health and eligibility for dental implants. The goal of this appointment is to identify which treatment options are best for you moving forward.

Dental Implant Placement

Once the plan is finalised, you will be scheduled for your dental implant surgery. The visit itself is usually 30-45 minutes for a simple implant surgery, and one or more hours for more difficult cases.

Healing after the surgery is usually not as bad as the teeth removal, because there won’t be an open wound to heal. We have sedation options or even general anaesthetic for anxious patients to ensure that your dental visit is as comfortable as possible. We offer a complimentary follow-up visit 1 week post surgery to ensure everything is healing well.

Dental Implant Crown

In most cases, we need to wait three months for the healing process to finish and for your dental implant to integrate with your body. At this point we will get you to return for two visits to insert your final teeth.

In some cases we’re able to complete this quicker. For full arch or All on 4 Plus implants, you can have your teeth within 24-48 hours of the implant surgery. On the other hand, dental implants that require bone grafting or soft tissue grafting will take a longer time to heal. Each case is uniquely different.
